Newly framed early 19th century hand colored engraving of a blueberry plant by du Monceau. Henri-Louis Duhamel du Monceau was a leading expert on trees, particularly fruit trees, and published two volumes on the same, from which this engraving came. A member of the French Academy of Sciences, he also contributed to Diderot’s Encylopédie. Matted with a gold filet and highlighted with a vintage French ombré silk ribbon a la Dorothy Draper.
