Rare hand colored copperplate stipple engraving from La Flore et La Pomona Françaises by Jean Henri Jaume Saint-Hilaire, a French naturalist who was born in Grasse in 1772. He also wrote a guide to the new at the time Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle and many other seminal works in natural history. Mounted on hand marbled paper and framed in an antique frame accented with a vintage French ombré ribbon.
