Early Wedgwood custom wine cooler with a family crest. From the very first period of Josiah Wedgwood’s manufactory. The crest’s motto reads “Confido in Probitate” or “I trust in integrity.” Flanked by twin foliate-molded scrolling handles highlighted with gilding. The rim displays a claret (magenta) band over a neoclassical arcaded gold leaf pattern. Would make an excellent cachepot.
