Fabulous pressed seaweed album cleverly bound in a scallop shell. Bunt orange ribbon ties. Fifteen individual seaweed pressings. This is the only album of this kind I have ever seen in a shell binding. Seaweed and flower pressing was a very common craft for schoolgirls and ladies in the Victorian period. The last page is marked 18 mass 692.
